An unlikely combination.
Yet the Orm and this occasional crew formed one of the main attractions during Dorestad Revive.
( see Museum Dorestad ).

After a somewhat hesitant acquaintance between the seized seafarers and Captain Henri Houben
- who, as can be understood in every crewmember, saw a potential danger for his own-handed pet child
- was practicing an evening together enough to be able to sail a nice demonstrations in the city harbour a day later of Wijk bij Duurstede that was renamed Dorestad for one day.
After a spectacular entry with full sails and the "imprisonment" of alderman Aukje Boer, the port was once again the domain of ferocious Vikings, which incidentally behaved remarkably peacefully.

Apparently, the demonstrations with the highly manoeuvrable Orm
- culminating in the part of the rowing of kings -
gave so much satisfaction that the dreaded looting remained completely absent.
The unlikely combination made for a fascinating day with historical sailing pleasure.
Where is that success ?
Was it the joint love for the water ?
A shared urge for adventure ?
Was it the special sailing characteristics of the Orm that enforced respect ?
or was it the fraternal ear lamb that was consumed afterwards ?
Who will say it ?
One thing is for sure : the Orm has respected both the crew and the public for the seamanship of the Vikings.
